From July to November, we will be travelling across Asia, creating temporary spaces for listening, gathering, and unexpected encounters.

Research & Practice Space — Issue 01
We are pleased to launch the first issue of Research & Practice Space, a publication platform initiated by Chimimora exploring contemporary artistic practice through research, critical writing, and dialogue.
Our inaugural issue, Public Art & Urban Intervention, presents a critical examination of Chimimora’s evolving practice of nomadism, co-creation, and temporary cultural infrastructures. Developed in collaboration with Goldsmiths alumni and independent practitioners, it reflects on how artistic communities occupy, negotiate, and reimagine public space.
We welcome future contributions, including:
— Essays and critical texts
— Artistic research
— Interviews and conversations
— Experimental writing
— Public programmes and urban interventions
— Collaborative projects
We invite artists, writers, researchers, curators, and cultural practitioners to contribute and collaborate on future issues.
Neither institution nor counter-institution, Chimimora remains a temporary space for experimentation, criticality, and collective imagination.
