Curator’s Statement
 

Awakening grew out of a personal inquiry into what it means to truly become conscious—not as a sudden event, but as a subtle shift in how we perceive ourselves, others, and our surroundings.
 

Rooted in Taoist thought, I see transformation not as an act of force or control, but as an alignment with life’s natural rhythms—observing, accepting, and moving with what is. This led me to consider art not just as an object to be seen, but as a space to slow down, listen, and feel.
 

True awakening rarely arrives as a flash of sudden clarity. It is built quietly from the quiet tension of achievement and uncertainty, loss and creation—a gradual rewriting of how we inhabit the world.
 

I conceived Awakening not as a traditional exhibition, but as an interdisciplinary field of encounter. Visual art, moving image, sound, performance, and live music do not merely sit side by side; they offer distinct sensory paths into the same question, allowing personal narratives to converge and echo.
 

Ultimately, Awakening asks: what does it mean to be genuinely present? For me, the answer is never a static destination, but an unceasing openness—to remain observing, questioning, creating, and continually becoming.
