Non-hierarchical participation and spontaneous creativity. Chimimora is a nomadic art collective. We organise artist residencies, exhibitions, live performances and other projects. We don't keep a permanent space. We gather wherever there's room to cook, talk, and make things together. We began as a small place for outsiders working at the edge of a discipline or somewhere in between.

That's still who we are.

We believe that art is a communal experience more than a solitary pursuit. We meet. We share a meal first; then the work tends to follow. We keep an archive of what happens along the way - notes, images, recipes, unfinished love. Chimimora, a space where hospitality meets experiments. Allow everyone to contribute their voice and voice without hierarchy.
